A Channel for God's Compassion

"I had gone to join a group of people in a meadow, beneath a tree. We joined hands. The person to my left spoke the first brief prayer. It was about compassion. I was the third to speak. I asked that I might become a channel for God's compassion, to flow through me, to reach out to others."

In the way of love, in the way of spirit, see the clarity of motivation and intention in those who are actively, consciously joining hands and asking to be utilized by God as instruments, as vessels, as channels for divine compassion.
Understanding the experience of broken spirits, understanding the experience of feeling lost, understanding the experience of emotional pain, understanding the wounds that impair the heart's ability to love allows compassion to flow. Seeing past the actions, seeing past the pain, seeing past the losses, seeing past the betrayals, seeing past the abuse, seeing past the crimes, seeing past the "evil" is necessary to develop the capacity for compassion. Seeing past, allows one to see deeper, to see below the surface to the pain, to see the flicker of the divine spark that still exists in every hurt, wounded individual. Allow that knowledge, trust and faith in the divine inner spark to open the doors to the flow of divine compassion.
Understand that the prayer is for God's compassions to flow through, for human eyes are limited in seeing the complexity of another on all levels, in all time frames for all moments of existence. God's compassion requires no explanations, for God's vision sees more about you than you will be able to see about yourself while in human form.
This prayer is made after the joining of hands, coming together to share in the prayer, in the openness of a meadow, grounded and surrounded with nature's blessings.
Together in prayer, together in harmony, together in unity, together in spiritual growth, together in spiritual awakening, together in spiritual evolvement, we can gather together to share God's commpassion lighting the world up with hope.
The spiritual awareness can grow that we are all instruments through which Spirit can move to touch human hearts. To open fully to Spirit is to allow that flow of compassion to course through our veins, filling our inner space with the fluid ease of a gentle river that nourishes the ground, giving birth to new growth.
My Musings
I need to share that I don't feel that I always "measure" up to this dream. I strive to but know that I am human and fall short. Sometimes it takes me time to reach this goal. When there has been a difficult, painful lesson, it takes me time. When I haven't worked through my emotions about the lesson, it takes me time. When I don't understand the lesson, it takes me time. When I recognize my growth which occurred as a result of the lesson, I am on the road to compassion. When I work through, transform and release my emotions, I am on the road to compassion. When I seek understanding with caring, I am on the road to compassion. It is well worth the time and the effort to reach the destination of compassion.
It does feel good to know that my purest Soul wants to be a channel for God's compassion. I would make a pretty safe guess, that everyone's Soul in its purest form wants to be a channel for God's compassion also.
